Overview
A break-away stationary bollard is a fixed bollard composed of a sub surface element inbeded into concrete and a break-away tube connected to the base unit by an Aluminum screw of variable diameter. The standard AL screw has been designed to resist impacts up to 30Kj. The screw serves as a fuse and breaks under high kinetic energy impact. The bollard tube will fall off and can be screwed back onto the base using a replacement screw.
