The eDefender starts from the raised position in most applications. Upon receiving a signal from an access control system or push button, the bollard(s) lower simultaneously to provide access for one vehicle. After the vehicle has cleared the safety zones, the bollard(s) raise to the upright position. Optionally this bollard has an Emergency Deployment mode which allows for very fast upward motion of the bollard when an emergency occurs.

Overview

An Extremely High Impact Bollard for Low-Use Applications!
The eDefender - Model B-1M Manual Bollard is a retractable bollard that lowers under its own weigh and raises using a manual jack.
This 32" or 39" tall x 10" diameter bollard is ideal for applications that require a high resistance to impact but infrequent use.

Description

The eDefender Bollard™ Model B-1M is a manual retractable bollard that operates using a manual pump to raise and lowers under gravity after unlocked. The standard operation starts from the up position. Upon releasing the pressure in the hand pump, the bollard lowers in approximately 4 seconds. To raise the bollard, simply pump it using the provided handle until it is in the raised position.

Installations

It is highly recommended that Automatic Bollard Systems provide installation supervision or complete installation services for the eDefender Automatic Bollard.
Bollard cases must be installed level, connected to a drainage system that will allow bollard case to drain at a rate of 1 gallon/minute, positioned so that the stainless steel guide rails are parallel to the direction of vehicle traffic.
