The eDefender starts from the raised position in most applications. Upon receiving a signal from an access control system or push button, the bollard(s) lower simultaneously to provide access for one vehicle. After the vehicle has cleared the safety zones, the bollard(s) raise to the upright position. Optionally this bollard has an Emergency Deployment mode which allows for very fast upward motion of the bollard when an emergency occurs.

Overview

The eDefender Fixed (Stationary) Bollard - Model BD-1F is designed to compliment the Automatic and Manual versions of the eDefender. With the same height, diameter, finish and impact resistance, the Fixed eDefender can be installed to the sides of the traffic lane or in other areas where vehicle access is not required.

Description

The B-1F Stationary Defense Bollard was designed to be installed completely underground in a steel-reinforced concrete construction. When multiple bollards are installed in a continuous row, the reinforcing steel bars can be installed in a modified fashion to encompass the entire assembly of bollards.
